Hello and thank you for contacting Nintendo,

Just to let you know, we can't send a Wii Classic Controller to you at no charge, but you may be glad to hear that one can be purchased from the online store on our web site at http://store.nintendo.com or directly from our Consumer Service Representatives at (800) 255-3700. Our CSRs can be reached between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Sunday.

If you have additional questions or concerns, please let us know!!

Sincerely,

Nintendo of America Inc.
M. Michel Grimaldi

I think it's pretty obvious that I didn't talk to the right people. I knew I shouldn't have used a webform. Thinking about it rationally the people that respond to these emails are more than likely minimum wage* screen readers in the pacific northwest, they wouldn't have the authority to send me what I want. I'm not giving up yet, I'll have to dig for some real email addresses.

I should have a request out to a different company today. And the Stella stuff and the Russell Stover Candies should be here this week.

Later-

*theres nothing wrong with making minimum wage, it's only that these people don't have the authority to give stuff away.

Thing to do is write in and say you bought a defective product. For example, one guy I know in Philly had a case of 40s of St Ides malt liquor (or was it O.E.. I forget. Some nastyass malt liquor anyway) hand delivered to his door by a company man after he wrote in that he had purchased a flat bottle. He REALLY wasn't expecting that! I've seen/heard quite a few stories and it seems the more creative the complaint letter the more likely you are to get a free 'replacement'.

Thats pretty cool I've heard a lot of stories like that, somebody buys a bag of chips but its empty, next week theres a box of chips at their door.

I'd like to stretch the truth sometimes but it would make the project too easy (not to mention unethical) all the rules can be seen here.

Thanks!
