Nintendo Part 4 - Rejected

denied
I got a letter back from Gail over at Nintendo North America.
Also sorry for the delay I've been really cracking at my senior design project and I should be going beta this next week. So I could use a few "testers" once I get some server space.

and on to the email:

Dear Greg

The concept is great, but sorry, we can't participate.

Best of luck to you,

Gail Tilden

Wow... Wiijected. I mean I'm sure they are busy but the automated response had more feeling than this. I'm not in the mood to quit so I might return to them in the next few weeks. I should *really* have a new request out this coming week. I'm thinking based on the suggestions of many that I should hit up some record labels, or even bands themselves. So keep an eye out for that.

On a personal note thanks:

For adding me back!

Also if any readers are located in Cincinnati, I think I recognized a few of you at Christies Karaoke on thursday.

Actually, I didn't "add you back" per se, I actually added you without you requesting it first, so thank YOU for adding me back! It sounds like an interesting project, I look forward to following your progress.

I think Nintendo would give you something if you waltzed up to Redmond, Washington and said "hey! I want free stuff"... maybe not. Will you take suggestions for companies to ask for free stuff from?

Oh god please. I'm at wits end. Honestly I didn't think I would get anything so I really didn't plan anything. I need suggestions. Also on a related note I think someone in my building stole my chalice's from Stella.... I'm afraid to ask Stella about them because I don't want to seem impatient or ungrateful... oh well, thanks for reading :P

my suggestion would be to ask from smaller companies that could see what you are doing as some sort of advertisement. Nintendo is already established with their fan base but a lot of people don't know of Russel Stover or Stella. I would also say ask video game making companies like NIS America or Squarenix. Try gardenburger or powell's books (just off the top of my head).

Good advice, thanks.

MMMmmm gardenburger.

I was inspired by your audacity, and tried to get a free Dyson Root Cyclone 6 (their handheld) from them, as I've been a long time Dyson whore owner.

No luck, however. :-)

Maybe you could try asking for whatever they can give you, instead of one of their most wanted products. Stickers? A t-shirt?

You're right the chances of success would be much higher if I asked for anything, but then whats the fun of that? :P (Although I was hoping that they would offer something instead of what I asked for, at least thats what I would have done if I was working for them.

Well, Gail hasn't made a public announcement for over a year. This is all the evidence I can find on the net that she still works there.
